Walk in Philly # 2, from City Center to Chinatown & Logan Sq, is one of the most diverse tours you can do in the city, mixing shopping, food, and art in very busy neighborhoods. It's only 2 miles long so you could do it in about 90 minutes if you only stroll and take photos but in fact, it will take you a good part of the day if you eat along the way and visit all there is to visit. 🍧There is an excerpt of it below to give you an idea of what it is. 💚Otherwise, it is available in full for a few $ on Payhip/ImagesVoyagesImpressions in a PDF file that you'll be able to download on your phone. ✨NB:
A : Once you exit the metro station, you'll be on ... Street, and you should turn your back on ... (the building that blocks your view in one direction) to begin your walk. The sidewalks here are wide and the traffic is constant; this is the city's commercial center with its neon signs, luxury hotels, department stores, and pedestrians carrying designer bags. Just before ..th Street, you'll see the entrance to ... on your left. If you venture inside, you'll see that it's decorated with beautiful murals, some of which relate to the history of the railroads. It also provides access to the immense ... shopping center, which covers three city blocks and where you could easily get lost. However, rather than exploring it right away, which would probably be the end of this walk, head back out onto ... Street. B : On the left, you'll pass another entrance to the ..., and then at ... Street, if you look left again, you'll see the archway marking ... in the distance, and you'll know that's where you need to turn. C: First, there will be an elevated walkway connecting two sections of the mall, and then you'll arrive in this typical neighborhood with its colorful displays spilling onto the sidewalk, its busy shoppers going from store to store, sometimes with bags full of food, and its indecipherable characters on the storefronts unless you speak the language in question. D: To take a nearly complete tour of this neighborhood (actually quite small compared to others in other cities) and perhaps find the restaurant or bakery that will make you stop, go to ... Street, turn right, then further on, turn right again onto the much quieter ... Street, and finally turn right once more onto ... Street to find the shops again. (the rest is on the pdf...)
