Walk in Philadelphia # 6, Drexell & Penn University campuses ​is a unique self-guided tour specially designed to help you discover the campuses of Drexel and Penn University.

It will be a pleasure to stroll there as you'll mostly be on pedestrian walkways, and the young and vibrant population you'll encounter will add a unique character to your explorations.

Allow about two hours to do the entire tour at a leisurely pace, without visiting any of the galleries and museums situated along your way.

A: When exiting the metro, look for the ...; it will be on your left when you're facing the city center and its skyscrapers.

It's large, imposing, very Art Deco inside, more Neoclassical on the outside, and if you like the atmosphere of ..., you'll love it. It's the third busiest one in the country.

B: Once you get out of it, turn left, cross ,.. Street, and take ... Street. You'll pass the imposing ... office building with its classic, clean lines.

On the other side, you'll see more modern glass buildings that are already part of Drexell University, followed by parking lots.

It's in the parking lot on your left, just after ..., that you'll find the elevator that will take you to ..., a landscaped ... on the ... floor offering beautiful views of the Schuylkill River and, further on, the city center.

There are regular events there (see their website for details) and a restaurant.

Once you've come back down, retrace your steps a little and turn left ...

C: You'll be along parking lots again, but once you've gone under the railway bridge, you'll enter the ... University campus (it's written on the bridge) and you'll soon see the magnificent and original ... on your right.

Built in the Beaux-Arts style, it was completed in 1891 to ensure an education in the arts and sciences for all, in accordance with the wishes of financier and philanthropist ...

Since then, the campus has expanded considerably, and you'll explore it for a while by turning right onto ... and walking alongside the ...

You'll soon see different buildings with much more contemporary architecture, as well as several food trucks on your right.

At this point, turn left and follow the pedestrian walkways, always keeping right at intersections. You should then reach ...

This area is very pleasant, open and lively, and upon reaching ... Street, you'll see the ... statue symbolizing the university.

There are also many other statues along the way, some classic, some more modern.

Once you reach ... Street, turn left, then right onto ... Street, and finally left onto ... Street.
